It is with sadness we announce the passing of our father and husband. James is survived by his wife Janet; sons, Jim Jr., Grant, Ross, and Scott Mackenzie.

Jim was a key player on Winnipeg Maroons Allan Cup teams in the early 1960s. I was a teammate. Jim was a confident, quiet gentleman for whom I had great respect. I confirmed that respect in 1961 accepting his offer of a flight in his plane during which he introduced me to engine stalls & other tricks of being a pilot. Everything Jim did he did with class!
